Tiller Cottage is a detached dormer bungalow in Port Eynon, one of the most sought after villages on the Gower Peninsula, and its large enclosed lawned garden is, in the owners' own words, ideal for children and your dog to play in. This dog friendly cottage for six welcomes one dog aged one year or older, so it is a stay for a grown dog rather than a puppy.
You come in to a good sized, well equipped kitchen with a table for a relaxed breakfast, and through to a large lounge and diner with ample seating, a TV and a gas fire with the look of a wood burner, where the dog can settle after a day on the sand. An inner hallway leads to a ground floor twin bedroom. The ground floor bathroom has a bath, a separate shower and a WC.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a master double and a second twin, both with lovely sea views, and a family shower room with a double walk in shower across the landing. Outside, the patio has outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue, the lawn gives the dog room to play while supper cooks, and an outside storage room takes bikes, wetsuits and surf boards.
The glorious sandy beach, the village shop and the pub are all within 0.6 miles, an easy amble with the dog. Port Eynon is popular with walkers, cyclists and surfers, the village of Oxwich is a short drive away, and caves, Iron Age forts, castles, churches and a lighthouse are all within easy reach, with Mumbles offering independent shops and places to eat.
