In the tranquil village of Rode, Townsend Cottage is a charming stone cottage with a classic English country interior and room for a couple and both their dogs. This is a wonderful dog friendly bolthole for spending quality time together, and well placed for exploring Frome, Bradford on Avon and Bath.

The stable front door opens into the inviting living room, decorated with comfort and style in mind, where the wood burning stove is the place to cuddle up and talk over the day, both dogs flat out before the fire. A lovely rustic feel runs through the kitchen and dining room, with quirky cupboards and a farmhouse range cooker for a hearty breakfast or a quiet meal for two. At the top of the stairs is the king size bedroom, and at the end of the hall a double size shower.

To the front lies an enclosed garden, set with table and chairs, a relaxing place to sit with the first coffee as the village wakes up and the dogs take stock of the day. Rode has a village peacock, mostly heard in spring and summer, and the dogs may well hear it before anybody else does.
