Tyn Yr Onnen is a family run, traditional Welsh sheep farm at the foot of Moel Eilio on the edge of Eryri National Park at Waunfawr, and its dog friendly campsite looks out over the valley. Tents, touring caravans and motorhomes have pitches, there are camping pods and lodges, and campfires are allowed in fire baskets supplied by the farm. From the farm there are hundreds of acres of heath land to explore, with sheep, donkeys, llamas, ponies and chickens to meet.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on the site, always on a lead, and owners are asked to clear up after them and not to leave them alone in any of the units. The camping pods take two dogs each, with a nightly charge per dog. Walks to Mynydd Mawr and Moel Eilio are easily reached from the farm, the Snowdon Ranger footpath is 2 miles away, and in Waunfawr the Antur Cafe, a shop and a pub serving craft beers and food are all within walking distance.
