Winterton-on-Sea, Norfolk

There is a bar in the garden. Not a barbecue with a shelf on it but an actual bar, standing on the enclosed ground with the furniture and the charcoal grill beside it. Winterton Field View is a five star house on the edge of the village at Winterton-on-Sea, three bedrooms taking six, dog friendly and three dogs allowed.

The kitchen and its dining end make the middle of this house, one light room with a long table and everything else running off it. A utility sits just off the kitchen with the back door in it. The lounge is past that with the wood burner and the seating, and there is a shower room on this floor as well, which is where a beach day and three dogs are reconciled.

Above, the three bedrooms all look out over field and each has a television of its own. The garden is enclosed, the bar and the grill standing out on it, and three dogs get that whole piece of ground without anybody having to watch a gate. Six people at five stars in a house this size means the finish is the point as much as the space is.

The track down to the beach is picked up at the back of the property, and it comes out on sand that goes a long way north and a long way south. Winterton's streets slope gently towards it past a shop, a pub and a row of cottages. Great Yarmouth is 9 miles south and does the opposite, with a pleasure beach, amusements and a model village at Merrivale. Three dogs get a track from the gate and a town when somebody wants noise.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Winterton Field View dog friendly?

Yes, Winterton Field View welcomes dogs — up to three at a time. The garden is fully enclosed, so your dogs have the run of it without anyone needing to watch a gate, and a track from the property leads directly down to the beach.

  • Are dogs allowed at Winterton Field View year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth contacting the property directly to confirm availability for your dates. With a beach track from the gate and an enclosed garden, it's set up well for dogs whatever the season.

  • What should I know before visiting Winterton Field View with my dog?
