Clent Hills Circular Walk
Worcestershire
The Clent Hills are a cluster of ancient summits in the far north of Worcestershire, a short drive from Birmingham and cared for by the National Trust. This 3.9 km circular is the classic loop to the viewpoint and four standing stones on Clent Hill, and it is firmly dog friendly with plenty of open grass to roam.
Expect a steep but short climb from Nimmings Wood out of the woodland and up onto the grassy top, with a couple of gentler descents back through the beech woods. Dogs need to be on a lead in the grazed fields near the summit where sheep are usually out, and on a lead in the car park and cafe courtyard at the start. Parking is pay and display at Nimmings with a cafe and toilets right there.
