Harmondsworth Great Barn is a Grade I listed oak framed medieval barn built around 1426, and English Heritage rank it alongside the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace for architectural and historic interest. It is 60 metres long with its original timber frame almost entirely intact. John Betjeman called it the Cathedral of Middlesex.
Whilst you take in the carpentry, and the odd contrast between medieval joinery and the aircraft going over from Heathrow next door, your dog needs a plan, because there are no posted dog rules for the barn and it is a single enclosed historic interior. Expect them to stay outside with someone.
