Passford House Hotel

Lymington, Hampshire

Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms, up to 2 dogs per room.

A hotel near Lymington on the edge of the New Forest, with landscaped gardens for your dog to explore and dog friendly lounges.

Passford House takes its name from the old ford it stood beside, on what was once the main road between Lymington & Sway, and its history goes back to the 16th century. Today it is a dog friendly hotel on the edge of the New Forest, set in landscaped gardens and rolling parkland, with 50 en-suite bedrooms.

Your dog stays with you in one of the dog friendly bedrooms, up to two dogs per bedroom, so mention them when you book. Treats are waiting on arrival with a personalised letter, and each dog has a bowl and its very own towel. A lead is needed in the public areas, and after the forests and beaches there is a hose by the leisure centre to clean your dog before you go back inside. Dogs aren't allowed in or on the leisure facilities, the pools and tennis court included.

The hotel has log-fired lounges, and dog friendly lounges for a drink after a long walk. The restaurant is not dog friendly, but you are welcome to leave your dog in the bedroom while you dine; the hotel doesn't mention dogs in its bar. The dining room overlooks the terrace and gardens, with traditional English and continental cooking from fresh, local produce where possible, a Fish Friday menu, and afternoon tea in the courtyard, on the terrace or in the lounges.

There are indoor and outdoor heated pools, a gym, a tennis court and massage treatments, and the Monet Garden is the hotel's pride. With your dog, the gardens are there for walkies at a moment's notice, reception has local walks to suggest, Ober Water and Puttles Bridge is 3.5 miles away, and Milford on Sea Beach, closest of the beaches Wildpack marks dog friendly, is 3.5 miles too.

Facts checked October 2026 from the hotel's own website. Details can change, so please confirm anything important, especially the dog rules, with the hotel before you book.
