The Castle Hotel

Eynsford, Kent

Yes. Dogs can stay in all rooms.

A boutique hotel with seven rooms in Eynsford, where every room takes dogs and they can sit with you while you eat.

The Castle Hotel is a boutique hotel on the High Street at Eynsford, in the Kent countryside, with a restaurant, a bar and seven individually designed rooms. Every room is open to dogs at this dog friendly hotel, and a dog can sit with you in any area of the hotel while you eat or drink.

The hotel offers bowls and treats and plenty of fuss to every four-legged guest. The hotel does not mention a limit per room, so settle that at the booking. The one rule is that a dog is not left unattended in the hotel room.

Dogs sit with you in the restaurant as readily as the bar, and the kitchen works from local produce: sharing plates and sourdough flatbread pizzas, Castle Burgers, a British pie on Thursdays and a Sunday roast with the trimmings. Afternoon tea is laid in the dining rooms with vintage plates and cake stands, by pre-booking only, and the cheeseboards can come with a decanter of port.

The rooms are Georgian, on the second floor, looking out at Eynsford castle, the Kent hills or the village cottages, with original fireplaces and slate tiled bathrooms; the superior rooms have a freestanding bath. Breakfast is included and cooked to order from the village butcher's ingredients. The walking starts at the door, on and off the lead, and the dog gets Lullingstone Country Park and Shoreham Circular, one of ours, 1.5 miles away.

Facts checked October 2026 from the hotel's own website. Details can change, so please confirm anything important, especially the dog rules, with the hotel before you book.
