The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa

Bath, Bath and North East Somerset

Yes. Dogs can stay in 6 dog friendly rooms, up to 2 dogs per room.

A Georgian hotel and spa on the Royal Crescent in Bath, where the suites kept for dogs open onto a private courtyard or an acre of secluded gardens.

Walk your dog straight out of the room: at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa the suites kept for dogs open directly onto a private courtyard or onto an acre of secluded gardens, five minutes' walk from the city centre. Revered Georgian architecture and 45 rooms and suites, no two alike, make this a dog friendly hotel with a garden at its heart.

Six designated rooms take dogs, four Junior Suites and two Deluxe Suites, two dogs at most in a room, and pre-booking is essential, so call ahead to book one. Housekeeping prepares the room with a dog bed, treats, refuse bags and a bin, a towel and a door sign, and your dog even gets a welcome card. Outside the room, keep dogs on a lead at all times. You can also walk them on the private Crescent lawn in front of the hotel once you've picked up the keys from the concierge.

For a bite to eat with your dog, the bar area, and the terrace when the weather allows, are where you sit together; dogs don't go into the restaurant or the spa. The same goes for the spa garden. The bar and garden bar areas, the public rooms and the main garden are all open to them. Montagu's Mews, the restaurant, holds three AA Rosettes for its local fare, and afternoon tea is served in the English garden.

The Spa sits in a historic Georgian Bath House, with a sauna, a herbal steam room and a gym, and the hotel holds 5 AA Red Stars and Michelin Keys. When your dog wants more than the lawn, Wildpack's map puts the Bath Skyline Western Loop From Kelston 2.6 miles from the hotel.

Facts checked October 2026 from the hotel's own website. Details can change, so please confirm anything important, especially the dog rules, with the hotel before you book.
