1 / 8The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort
Telford, Telford and Wrekin
Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms, up to 2 dogs per room.
A golf and spa resort overlooking Ironbridge Gorge near Telford, where dogs stay in allocated rooms and keep you company in every bar area.
The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort overlooks the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge, set among sweeping grounds in the Severn Valley countryside of Shropshire. With 114 rooms, an 18 hole course and an ELEMIS spa, it is a dog friendly hotel on a large scale, with rooms set aside for guests who bring their dogs.
Dogs stay in rooms allocated for them, up to two per room, and every booking with a dog goes through the Contact Centre by phone rather than online. Bring everything your dog needs to settle in, from bed or crate to food, lead and treats. There's a sign for the door handle so the team knows a dog is inside, and on longer stays the team will arrange cleaning for when you and your dog are out. You can't leave your dog alone in the bedroom at any point, and beyond your door it stays on a lead.
Every bar area welcomes dogs, the Gorge Bar among them, where familiar favourites are served throughout the day; the main restaurant areas aren't open to dogs, and that includes Restaurant 1779. If you'd like something from the restaurant menu, the hotel asks you to speak to a team member. Restaurant 1779 overlooks the Severn Gorge, with tables outside for views of Ironbridge, and afternoon tea is served too.
The spa has ELEMIS treatments, a sauna, a steam room and a relaxation room, and there's an indoor pool and a fully equipped gym. For the dog, Wildpack's Ironbridge Gorge walk is 1.6 miles away, and any mess your dog leaves, indoors or out on the hotel grounds, is yours to clean up.
