Longborough has a green, a church with Norman work still in it, and an opera house standing in a field.
The opera house is the oddest thing for miles: a full scale theatre built onto the side of a country home in this village, where people drive out from London in evening dress to sit in the middle of farmland. Broadway Tower stands 6.3 miles north west, a folly on nearly the highest ground in the Cotswolds with a view said to take in thirteen counties. One dog gets the tower and the whole escarpment under it.
