Bridlington's North Beach is a gentle half hour on foot from the front door of 21 West Crayke, and after two dogs have done it both ways they come home to a large enclosed lawn and a hot tub. It is a detached, dog friendly bungalow for four in a quiet part of the town, everything on one floor and two dogs welcome.

There are no stairs anywhere. The kitchen opens into a living and dining room with a gas fire, and a double bedroom and a twin that can become a king share a family bathroom along the same level. For an older dog, or an older owner, that is the whole house without a single climb, and the owners add doggy extras to the welcome pack.

The garden is the part that guests keep mentioning. It is lawn, fenced all round, with furniture on it and a private hot tub for four, and it is large enough for two dogs to run rather than pace. Summer evenings are made for it: a barbecue lit, the tub bubbling, and the dogs asleep on the grass with sand still in their paws from the morning.

Bridlington has two long beaches either side of its working harbour, with a promenade and a land train along the front and Sewerby Hall and its gardens to the north. Beyond that the chalk coast begins, with Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs, and there the path runs along the top of sheer drops to the sea, so dogs stay on the lead. Inland the Yorkshire Wolds give a dog quieter ground.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is 21 West Crayke dog friendly?

Yes, 21 West Crayke welcomes up to two dogs. The bungalow has a large enclosed lawned garden where dogs can run freely, and the owners include doggy extras in the welcome pack — a nice touch that shows they've thought about four-legged guests as well as their humans.

  • Are dogs allowed at 21 West Crayke year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and nothing in the property details suggests otherwise. If you want to confirm availability for specific dates, it's worth checking directly with the owners.

  • What should I know before visiting 21 West Crayke with my dog?

The property is a single-storey bungalow with no stairs anywhere, which is great for dogs (and owners) who prefer everything on one level. The garden is fully fenced and large enough for two dogs to stretch their legs properly, and Bridlington's North Beach is about a half-hour walk from the front door. If you're planning to head further afield to Flamborough Head or Bempton Cliffs, keep leads handy — the clifftop paths there run along sheer drops to the sea.
