Tarporley, Cheshire
A secluded woodland cabin for two near Tarporley, where dogs are welcome and the shack sits in an enclosed field ringed by trees, with an outdoor bath and pubs within walking distance.
Adhara is hidden away in a clearing of trees in the Cheshire countryside, a secluded, dog friendly cabin for a couple, two friends, or a solo escape with the dog. It is a short walk in from the farm track, and once you are among the trees you are in your own little bubble.
The cabin sits within an enclosed field surrounded by trees, though the shack itself is not fenced off. Just outside, the farmer sometimes uses the surrounding fields for cows, so dogs go on the lead for the walk to and from the cabin, and the gates are always closed after you.
Inside is a king size bed, a hob, a fridge and a wood burner, with renewable electricity and a hot shower. When evening comes the dog dozes by the stove. Outside there is an outdoor bath and a seating area among the trees for a soak or a drink under the sky.
The Nags Head at Haughton is a 20 minute walk, with a beer garden full of flowers in summer, and the Yew Tree Inn, a 19th century inn that welcomes dogs, is a short drive or a 45 minute walk down the country lanes. Delamere Forest, Beeston Castle and the Sandstone Trail are all a short drive for bigger walks.

Book with ShacksFrequently Asked Questions
Is Adhara dog friendly?
Adhara is fully dog friendly and welcomes as many dogs as you want to bring. The cabin sleeps two people and is designed with dogs in mind — there's a wood burner inside and a tree-ringed field around the clearing where a steady dog can have a good potter.
Are dogs allowed at Adhara year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and the setup — a wood burner, an off-grid cabin, and enclosed woodland surroundings — lends itself well to visits at any time of year. It's worth contacting Adhara directly to confirm availability for your dates.
What should I know before visiting Adhara with my dog?
There's no fence at the cabin itself, so dogs will need to be kept on the lead for the walk in from the farm track, and you'll want to be confident in your dog's recall before letting them off in the clearing. The farmer grazes cows in the fields beyond the trees, so it's worth being mindful of livestock on the approach. Once settled inside, the off-grid quiet — no mains hum, no passing traffic — tends to have a noticeably calming effect on dogs.
