Bilberry Barn is a luxurious stone barn conversion in an elevated position on the owner's working livestock farm at Crich, with views looking out to Crich Stand and privacy assured. Six guests can stay in this dog friendly barn with a pair of dogs, and there are walks and cycle trails in abundance from the doorstep.
Step into the kitchen and the view across the valley greets you straight away. A step up is the lounge and dining area, contemporary and stylish, with comfy seating in front of a warming wood burner, a Smart TV and a large dining table where tomorrow gets planned while the dogs doze in the warmth. A separate WC completes the ground floor. On the first floor are a twin with bespoke handmade bed frames and a super king zip and link, beside the bathroom; up again, a king size room on the second floor has gorgeous valley views and an en suite shower.
Outside there is an enclosed lawned area with a patio, a dining table, a BBQ and the hot tub, for long evenings with uninterrupted views over the pastures and down into the valley. Just across the way from the barn there is a further enclosed lawn with children's play equipment, which the owner says is great for games or for letting the dogs run free. Bilberry Cottage next door can be booked alongside to sleep 14.
Crich has pubs and shops and the National Tramway Museum, where the vintage trams run out into open countryside. Cromford, Matlock and Matlock Bath are very close, with Gulliver's Kingdom for the family, and Bakewell and Chatsworth House are a little further, both good outings with the dogs.
