This dog friendly retreat for two sits on the fringes of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, with an enclosed garden and balcony outside.

Inside, the open plan space is spacious and full of those views. The lounge area has large, comfy seating, a Smart TV and a Bluetooth speaker, and the dogs settle in while you sit back and admire the loch. The bespoke kitchen has a two ring induction hob, a microwave and a fridge freezer for cooking up a storm, and the dining area, with comfy seating of its own, has French doors straight out onto the deck.

The sleeping area has a lovely comfy double bed with wonderful sea views, and the stylish, spacious shower room completes the lodge. Out on the deck, with its comfortable seating and charcoal barbecue, the evenings are for al fresco dining and lazy stargazing, two dogs stretched out beside you and the sea loch and mountain views all around.

The immediate area is wonderful for walking and biking with the dogs, with coastal, country and forest trails, and the lodge sits on the Clyde Sea Loch Trail. Garelochhead has excellent amenities, water sports and a train station with direct links to Glasgow, and the villages of Cove, Clynder, Rosneath, Kilcreggan and Luss are within easy reach, with a passenger ferry from Kilcreggan to Gourock.
