Brecon, Powys
An architect designed bungalow for six in the heart of Brecon, with a vaulted open plan living space, a sunroom facing Pen y Fan, an enclosed garden and one dog welcome.
Bro Epynt is a beautiful architect designed bungalow in the heart of the vibrant market town of Brecon, stylish, comfortable and luxurious. It sleeps six, welcomes one dog, and puts a dog friendly stay right in town with the Brecon Beacons National Park all around.
The highlight is the large open plan living space, with vaulted ceilings, skylights and triple aspect windows that flood it with natural light. Sink into the spacious seating area and its Smart TV once the exploring is done, and the dog will soon find its favourite corner of it. Meals come from a modern, well equipped kitchen, and a generously sized table seats six for a celebration supper. At the front, a sunroom with armchairs looks across to Pen y Fan, the spot for a quiet chapter of a good book. There are three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a super-king zip-and-link, an en suite super-king and a king, while a bathroom with bath and separate shower and a wet room complete the house.
Outside, the enclosed garden has artificial grass and wonderful views onto Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the national park, and a patio where the table, chairs and charcoal BBQ wait. It is a delightful place to dine al fresco or simply take in the view while the dog explores. Bikes have a lockable store.
Keen walkers and bikers can head out with the dog into the surrounding countryside of the national park, with Llangorse Lake and Pen y Fan both 6.5 miles away. In town there is the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh, Theatre Brycheiniog, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, a 1930s style cinema and the historic cathedral.

Is Bro Epynt dog friendly?
Yes, Bro Epynt welcomes dogs. The house has enclosed gardens on more than one side, a utility room for dogs to come back into after a muddy walk, and a sunroom that opens directly onto the patio — so your dog will have a natural flow in and out all day.
Are dogs allowed at Bro Epynt year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth getting in touch with the owner directly to confirm availability for your dates. What we do know is that the setup — enclosed gardens, a utility room, and easy access to Mynydd Epynt — makes it a solid base whatever time of year you visit.
What should I know before visiting Bro Epynt with my dog?
One dog is allowed at Bro Epynt, so it's worth bearing that in mind if you're travelling with more than one. The house is well set up for dogs, with a utility room to return to after walks and gardens to use close to home. North of town, Mynydd Epynt opens up for longer outings, and the centre of Brecon itself is just half a mile away on foot.
