Three dogs are welcome at Bryn Rhosyn, a lovely semi-detached stone cottage in an elevated, enclosed position at Llanddoged, and the panoramic views across Snowdonia National Park are magnificent. Park on the drive and take a moment with the view before anyone, dogs included, goes inside. Sleeping four, this dog friendly hideaway is close to Llanrwst and Betws-y-Coed.

You come in by the back door, with space in the hall for coats and walking boots. To the right is the lovely kitchen and diner with superb views, and a dining table where all four gather, with board games after supper. Come evening, the cosy lounge with its wood burner and TV has three dogs asleep by the fire before the film has started. A spacious bathroom is on the ground floor, and up the stairs the double, with a TV, and the lovely twin both have beautiful views to wake up to.

Outdoors there is an enclosed garden whose paved patio has a table, seating and a charcoal BBQ, a spot to enjoy the sunshine and the panoramic views while the dogs settle beside you. There is a shared games barn with table tennis and table football, a shared sauna too, and a lockable garage for bikes and a canoe.

Llanrwst, 2 miles away, has the Tudor Gwydir Castle, eateries and independent shops, and Betws-y-Coed, 5 miles off, is known as the gateway to Snowdonia National Park, where the River Conwy meets the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno. With its waterfalls, river pools and hilltop lakes among majestic mountains and woodland, the area makes wonderful walking with the dogs, Conwy Falls and Swallow Falls are close, and Snowdon's summit, Zip World and Surf Snowdonia wait for the adventurous.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Bryn Rhosyn Snowdonia dog friendly?

Yes, Bryn Rhosyn is dog friendly and notably generous about it — they welcome up to three dogs, which is more than most cottages of this size will consider. The enclosed paved garden gives your dogs their own secure outdoor space while you settle in.

  • Are dogs allowed at Bryn Rhosyn Snowdonia year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's best to check directly with the owner when booking to confirm availability for your dates.

  • What should I know before visiting Bryn Rhosyn Snowdonia with my dog?

The cottage is set up well for dogs arriving after a day out — there's a back entrance with a hall for coats and boots, and the bathroom with a shower over the bath is on the ground floor, handy for a muddy dog. The enclosed garden gives them somewhere to decompress, and the quiet lanes around Llanddoged are manageable even with three dogs on leads. Nearby, Conwy Falls and the Fairy Glen are both short walks from the road rather than long hikes, so they suit a mixed-energy group.
