Camp Snowdonia, at Tan Aeldroch Farm, offers a true back to nature, dog friendly camping experience in the Lledr valley. Tan Aeldroch is a 42 acre Welsh sheep farm, now run as a nature reserve, and the owners have been restoring the natural ecology of the valley since 2003. It has welcomed campers since 1951. Two flat fields are bordered on one side by the Lledr River, and alongside the main campsite there is a bubble field, a long stay area and a car free eco campsite.
Dogs are welcome on a lead at all times, with a nightly fee for each. This is a quiet site, with no radios or stereos, so evenings are spent around the fire rings with the dog settled beside you, burning bagged natural wood to protect the valley. It is the closest campsite to the Fisherman's Walk, and Pont-y-Pant station is a walk along the road or the river.
