Cross Cottage is a traditional stone cottage exuding charm in Crich, a pretty village at the edge of the Dales in Derbyshire, where the Crich Tramway Village and Crich Stand can both be found. Two dogs come along with up to four guests, and glorious walks begin right from the doorstep of this dog friendly cottage.
Step inside under wooden beams overhead, with a neutral colour palette throughout, and leave coats and boots in the handy cloakroom. The kitchen is a generous size, with room to cook a home made meal and eat it at the kitchen table. Through in the lounge an original multi fuel stove sits at its heart, with the first supply of fuel provided, and the dogs will be curled up in its warmth long before anyone picks a film on the Smart TV. A selection of games and books is there for an evening in. Up the stairs are a double and a bunk bedroom, plus a bathroom for a hot soak after a long walk.

Matlock and Matlock Bath are close by, and the cable car climbs to the summit of the Heights of Abraham for panoramic views, cavern tours and walking trails. Gulliver's Kingdom is there for younger guests, and a little further away are the lovely town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Back in Crich, the walks from the door will have the dogs ready for an early night.
