This is a six bedroom house for eleven near Laxford Bridge in the far north west, two dogs welcome, with an enclosed lawned garden and Sutherland doing its enormous thing in every direction. Two lounges each keep a wood burner, the sunroom hangs over the river for the after dinner hour, and the kitchen runs a double oven, five ring hob and breakfast bar for catering at reunion scale. Bedrooms spread across both floors, kings, a double, twins, a single and even a nursery with a cot, with three bathrooms keeping the queue short, while the dogs claim whichever lounge lights its burner first.
Evenings divide by temperament: board games around one fire, quiet around the other, somebody in the sunroom with a glass listening to the river, and two dogs on the lawn seeing the day out. Eleven people can hold three different evenings here at once.
