Oldshoremore Beach
Highlands
Oldshoremore Beach is a wide, remote sandy beach near Kinlochbervie in north-west Sutherland, backed by dunes and looking west across the North Atlantic. This is one of the most northerly west-facing sandy beaches on the Scottish mainland and the scenery is utterly spectacular: white sand, turquoise water, and the vast emptiness of the Atlantic to the west. Very rarely visited despite its extraordinary quality.
No dog restrictions apply at Oldshoremore Beach. Year-round access. Reach via a single-track road from Kinlochbervie.
