The Wee Housey sits in a wonderful elevated position at Durness, looking over the countryside to Sango Bay in the distance, with delightful walks straight from the doorstep. This luxurious, dog friendly cottage takes four guests in two super king rooms, with three shower rooms, glass fronted balconies and a completely enclosed garden. Two dogs are welcome.
The lounge holds the wood burner and the view, with patio doors to a paved seating area, and the kitchen diner has a Neff double oven and a second set of doors to the garden. A third shower room is downstairs. Upstairs, each bedroom has its en suite and its balcony. The garden has seating at both ends of the cottage, so the dogs pick their spot by the time of day.
After an epic day out the wood burner is lit, a film goes on Sky Q, and two dogs are flat out in front of the fire while the light fades over Sango Bay. The beaches nearby are exceptionally beautiful, and they are where the dogs will want to spend most of the week.
Durness is set in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty, a haven for hill walkers and mountain climbers, with dramatic scenery for the dogs to roam and a name for trout and salmon fishing. Smoo Cave, Durness Golf Course, Balnakeil Craft Village and Europe's most northerly zip line are all within 5 miles, and the village's independent shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
