Loch Cottage is a lovingly restored villa at Colvend with a private garden and views towards White Loch. Four guests and two dogs can make this dog friendly cottage their base on the stretch of Galloway shore known as the Secret Coast, a place for keen cyclists, golfers and sailors, and for anybody who simply wants to switch off.

The front door opens into a large, bright open plan lounge and kitchen, with comfy seating, a wood burner that comes with a first basket of logs, and large roof skylights over the kitchen. The dogs will find the warm side of that burner quickly. Off the kitchen is a more formal lounge with views towards White Loch, a Smart TV as well as an electric fire styled as a wood burner. Underfloor heating runs through the ground floor.

Up on the first floor, the king size bedroom has dual aspect windows over the open countryside and the garden, and the pretty twin looks over towards the loch, with a bathroom on the mid landing and a shower room alongside the bedrooms. Outside, the tiered garden has a lawn and a patio, a peaceful place to sit out with a book while the dogs potter about.
