Ottilie is a contemporary dog friendly house in the heart of the Hope Valley, sleeping six, made for gathering together, with one dog welcome and the Peak District National Park all around. There is walking and cycling on the doorstep, and Castleton is just over 3 miles away.
The enclosed rear garden comes with a lawn, a patio, seating and a gas BBQ for eating outdoors, and the dog is happy out on the lawn while the BBQ gets going. A games room leads off from the garden, with a football table and air hockey, and the garage has room for bikes. Inside, past the hallway and a downstairs WC, the open plan ground floor brings lounge, kitchen and diner together for gathering, with board games, a Smart TV and a flame effect electric fire for the evening, when the dog curls up close by.
Upstairs there are three very good sized bedrooms with plenty of storage: a king size with en suite, a second king, and a twin. The upstairs snug has a desk and a screen for plugging in a laptop, plus a PlayStation 3 and a Smart TV, which gives everyone a space to play and relax away from the main living area, and the family bathroom completes the first floor. The dog is usually first to investigate the welcome pack.
The dog can walk the Hope Valley from the door, and Castleton has Treak Cliff Cavern, Speedwell Cavern and Peak Cavern to explore, with events held in the caves through the year. Eyam is 6 miles away, a very pretty village with a fascinating plague history, and Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Gardens are all within reach.
