Tenby, Pembrokeshire

A one bedroom cottage for two in Tenby with a contemporary country style, a sunny walled patio at the front, an enclosed patio garden at the back and one dog welcome.

Book now

Pear Tree Cottage is a dog friendly Tenby cottage for a couple, with a contemporary country style and outdoor space front and back. North Beach is 500 metres from the door, so the two of you and the dog can be out walking, with Goscar Rock in view, before the first coffee has gone cold.

Coats and boots come off in the hallway, which leads through to the open plan living area, where country style decor and comfortable seating make a peaceful place to land. The evening is the Smart TV by the gas fire, or supper at the dining table set for two, looking out through the French doors to the garden where the dog has spent the afternoon. The farmhouse style kitchen has a bright and airy feel, and the bedroom is a calm one with contemporary decor and a double bed.

Old stone walls surround the sunny front patio, which has its own table and chairs. To the rear lies an enclosed patio garden with seating, and the dog makes itself at home there while the two of you sit out with a glass in the evening. The bathroom is done in blue and white, with a shower over the bath.

Tenby's centre is a short walk, and in July and August its streets are traffic free. Strolls run between Castle Beach and South Beach with views of St Catherine's Island, the ferry from the harbour crosses to Caldey Island, and Colby Woodland Garden, 8 miles off, is a peaceful place for dog walks. Coppet Hall Beach has paddleboarding lessons for anyone who wants a more active day.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Pear Tree Cottage - Tenby dog friendly?

Yes, Pear Tree Cottage welcomes one dog. The cottage is set up with dogs genuinely in mind — your dog is free to follow you into any room, and there are two separate outdoor spaces to make use of: a sunny walled patio at the front and a quieter enclosed garden at the back.

  • Are dogs allowed at Pear Tree Cottage - Tenby year round?

The listing doesn't specify seasonal restrictions on dogs staying at the cottage itself. Boats to Caldey Island run through the season, so it's worth checking access there separately if that's part of your plans.

  • What should I know before visiting Pear Tree Cottage - Tenby with my dog?

The cottage sleeps two and accepts one dog, so it's best suited to a couple travelling with a single pet. The location is a real draw for dog owners — Castle Beach, South Beach, and the harbour sand are all within walking distance without needing to get in the car, and the enclosed back garden gives your dog a safe space to relax between adventures.
