Sycamore Cottage is a beautifully presented traditional house in the friendly village of Backworth, close to a local pub and convenience store, with Whitley Bay and its fabulous beach a short drive away. Spacious and dog friendly, it sleeps nine, and two dogs are welcome to join the whole family gathering.
Everyone gathers in the modern kitchen and diner, with oak worktops, metro tiles, a sociable breakfast bar, a large dining table and a door to the garden that the dogs will quickly make their own. There are two reception rooms: the main lounge has an open fire and a large TV, and the second keeps a cosy wood burner, a dresser and an armchair, giving a party of several generations room to spread out. Hadrian's Wall, the city of Durham, the Beamish Museum and the National Trust's Delaval Hall, Gibside and Cragside are all near enough for a day out.
