1 / 21The Hidden Garden
Kinmel Bay, Conwy
A modern single level lodge for four at Kinmel Bay, hidden away in its own fully enclosed garden with a hot tub, an outside dog tap and the beach under a mile away, two dogs welcome.
Hidden away in its own private garden, this modern lodge at Kinmel Bay is a dog friendly retreat on the North Wales coast where four people stay with two dogs, the sand less than a mile off. The lodge is all one level, and the bi-folding doors at the heart of it open onto a fully enclosed garden with a hot tub.
Inside, a long hallway leads to the open plan living, dining and kitchen space, beautifully styled, with a table for four, comfortable seating and high quality beanbags in front of the Smart TV. Off the hallway are a tastefully decorated double bedroom with a TV, a beautifully tiled bathroom with a generous walk in shower, and a bunk room created with children in mind, stocked with games and Lego sets. The two dogs will take up position by the bi-folding doors, keeping watch on the garden.
Out through those doors, the garden is fully enclosed, with the hot tub, an outside dining table and chairs, and a play area at the bottom for the children. Slip into a white robe and the hot tub while dinner waits, and after the beach the dogs meet the outside doggie tap, there to hose them down before they come in.
Kinmel Bay's popular beach is less than 1 mile away, with Kinmel Dunes Nature Reserve close by and the promenade there for a walk with two dogs towards the neighbouring beach towns of Rhyl and Towyn, both within 2 miles. Further along the coast lie Conwy Castle, the Great Orme and Llandudno, and the Clwydian Range and Snowdonia are both within reach.

Book with holidaycottages.co.ukFrequently Asked Questions
Is The Hidden Garden dog friendly?
Yes, The Hidden Garden welcomes two dogs. It's been genuinely set up with them in mind — the rear garden is fully enclosed on every side, which is a real bonus on a stretch of coast that's otherwise mostly open promenade, and the bathroom has a walk-in shower wide enough to wash a dog down after a beach trip.
Are dogs allowed at The Hidden Garden year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions, so it appears to be available for dog-friendly stays throughout the year. If you want to confirm availability for specific dates, it's worth checking directly with the property.
What should I know before visiting The Hidden Garden with my dog?
The property takes up to two dogs, so it's worth confirming that fits your group before booking. The fully enclosed garden is the standout feature for dog owners, giving your dogs somewhere to roam freely without leads. The beach is less than a mile away, and there's a circular walk that takes in the sands west toward Towyn and returns along the River Clwyd — a decent outing that doesn't double back on itself.
