Chapel St Leonards, Lincolnshire
A two bedroom bungalow for four at Chapel St Leonards on the Lincolnshire coast, with an enclosed west facing garden, a hot tub, a wood burner and two dogs welcome.
Two dogs, a hot tub and a wood burner. The Hideaway is a dog friendly bungalow for four at Chapel St Leonards on the Lincolnshire coast, finished to a high standard inside and out, with an enclosed garden at the back that faces west and a doggy welcome waiting for the pair of them.
The garden is the heart of it. It is enclosed, laid with composite decking, and holds the hot tub, the garden furniture, a barbecue hut for eating round the coals, and a summerhouse with a fridge for wine and beer. Two dogs have the run of it while the tub heats. Because it faces west, the last of the light lands here, and the main bedroom has French doors straight out onto it.
Inside it is all one floor, one step up at the entrance, and the whole place is set up for comfort: underfloor heating, dressing gowns and slippers for the tub, a kitchen with a coffee machine and a wine cooler, and a burner in the living room, with fuel for it included in the winter months. The evening writes itself. Dogs walked, tub first, then the fire, and two dogs flat out on a warm floor.
The beach is 0.8 miles away, a long run of sand that the Lincolnshire coast keeps up for miles in either direction. Inland, the Wolds rise in chalk hills and quiet lanes, and Gunby Hall, a red brick country house with walled gardens, makes a good morning out. Further up the coast, grey seals pup on the dunes at Donna Nook each winter, a sight two dogs will have to watch from the car park.

Book with cottages.comFrequently Asked Questions
Is The Hideaway dog friendly?
Yes, The Hideaway welcomes up to two dogs. There's a doggy welcome waiting for them on arrival, and the enclosed garden gives them plenty of room to roam while you get the hot tub going.
Are dogs allowed at The Hideaway year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it appears they're welcome throughout the year. That said, it's always worth confirming directly with the host when you book, particularly if you're planning a visit around busy periods.
What should I know before visiting The Hideaway with my dog?
The property accommodates a maximum of two dogs, so it's not suitable for larger groups travelling with more than that. The garden is fully enclosed, which is great for letting dogs off lead safely, and the beach is just 0.8 miles away for a proper run out — though if you're visiting in winter, note that the nearby grey seal pupping at Donna Nook is a dogs-in-the-car-park situation.
