Chaddesley Corbett is an old north Worcestershire village with its eleventh century church of St Cassian at one end and woodland at the other. Three Batch Cottages stands in the middle of it, a Grade II listed, double fronted cottage that is dog friendly for eight people and two dogs, and keeps an enclosed garden at the back.

There are two stair gates, one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom, which is the detail guests with inquisitive dogs mention. Downstairs has two living rooms, one with the television and an electric wood burner and one without, plus a kitchen with a breakfast table and a shower room. Upstairs are three bedrooms, the third a small double for one adult, and a family bathroom. The owners leave treats and toys for the dogs.

The garden is enclosed and has two patios, a summerhouse, furniture and a barbecue, with three steps between the levels. One guest's dog, in their own words, especially enjoyed having the run of it. There is a games room outside with a pool table and table tennis, which settles the evening for the younger half of the party while the dogs doze in the summerhouse doorway.

Chaddesley Woods, a nature reserve with a network of public footpaths, begins at the edge of the village and makes the daily dog walk. For something bigger the Clent Hills and the Lickey Hills are both close, and Kinver Edge, with its houses cut into the sandstone, is a good half day out with a dog. Bewdley sits on the Severn a short drive west.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Three Batch Cottages dog friendly?

Yes, Three Batch Cottages welcomes up to two dogs. The cottage has an enclosed garden for them to roam freely, and the owners leave treats and toys out for four-legged guests on arrival.

  • Are dogs allowed at Three Batch Cottages year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth contacting the owners directly to confirm availability for your dates. Given the enclosed garden and dog-focused touches throughout, it's clearly set up with dogs as a year-round consideration.

  • What should I know before visiting Three Batch Cottages with my dog?

The cottage has two stair gates — one at the top and one at the bottom of the stairs — which previous guests with curious dogs have found particularly useful. The enclosed garden has three steps between its two levels, so it's worth bearing that in mind if your dog has mobility considerations. Chaddesley Woods, a nature reserve with a network of footpaths, starts at the edge of the village and makes for an easy daily walk, with the Clent Hills, Lickey Hills and Kinver Edge all within reach for longer adventures.
