Carnlough to Waterfoot Coastal Walk

County Antrim

Dog Friendly Rating: 8/10 A dog friendly paved coast walk linking two harbour villages with sea views the whole way.

This Antrim Coast Walk tracks the shore line between the pretty harbours of Carnlough and Waterfoot, giving dogs a long sniff filled stroll with the sea on one side and wildflower banks on the other. It is dog friendly throughout, though leads are required on the short sections where the path joins the old coast road.

The surface is all tarmac and tight gravel, easy on pads and pushchair friendly too. Waterfall glimpses drop from the cliffs inland and you can extend the walk into Waterfoot beach at the far end. Parking is free at both harbour car parks, public toilets sit at Carnlough, and cafes at each end mean you can turn it into a tea shop day.
