High Weald Woodland Circular from Goudhurst

This 8.9 km circular from the hilltop village of Goudhurst drops into the wooded valleys of the High Weald before climbing back through fields and orchards typical of the Kent countryside. The route offers a strong mix of dense woodland shade, open agricultural land and the distinctive orchards that characterise this part of the county. With 269 metres of elevation gain across the undulating terrain, the walking is moderately physical — the Weald's steep-sided valleys create genuine climbs that reward with views back across the garden of England.
