Holt Country Park Circular Walk
Norfolk
Holt Country Park is a dog friendly 100 acre pocket of mixed woodland on the edge of the handsome Georgian town of Holt, run by North Norfolk District Council and holder of a Green Flag award. Three colour coded trails loop through tall pine, oak and birch, with heathy clearings, picnic tables and a tea room by the car park. The walk covered here is the longest blue route at roughly 2.5km, though you can easily stitch the trails together for a longer outing.
Dogs are welcome off lead throughout the park as long as they are under close control, and you'll find a water bowl by the tea room plus waste bins spread through the woods. The paths are wide, well surfaced forest tracks with gentle undulations, easy underfoot in most weather. Facilities include toilets, a seasonal tea room and a visitor centre with an interpretation area. Parking is in the main council car park on Norwich Road with space for around fifty vehicles and a £2.50 all day charge payable by card, cash or app.
