North Berwick East Beach
East Lothian
North Berwick East Beach (Milsey Bay) is the smaller, more sheltered of North Berwick's two beaches, tucked east of the harbour and looking toward the volcanic Bass Rock. The beach is sandy and sheltered by the harbour headland, making it calmer than the open West Beach. The Scottish Seabird Centre sits directly above, with telescope views across to Bass Rock's gannet colony. The East Links provides additional walking on the east side of the town.
East Lothian Council confirmed no dog bans at North Berwick beaches. Year-round unrestricted dog access. A popular choice for a sheltered, scenic shorter beach walk with outstanding views of Bass Rock.
