The beach is wide and sandy, backed by the West Links golf course and a putting green. The seaside town of North Berwick is charming and well-equipped, with the Scottish Seabird Centre offering boat trips to Bass Rock, one of the world's largest gannet colonies. The town centre is within easy walking distance of the beach.
