North Berwick West Beach
East Lothian
North Berwick West Beach is the larger and more open of North Berwick's two main beaches, facing south-west across the Firth of Forth with views toward Fife. The beach is wide and sandy, backed by the West Links golf course and a putting green. The seaside town of North Berwick is charming and well-equipped, with the Scottish Seabird Centre offering boat trips to Bass Rock, one of the world's largest gannet colonies. The town centre is within easy walking distance of the beach.
East Lothian Council confirmed no dog bans at North Berwick beaches. Year-round unrestricted dog access. The wide sands and good town facilities make this one of the most convenient dog friendly destinations in East Lothian.
