1 / 8The Wildings Hotel & Tudno's Restaurant
Llandudno, Conwy
Yes. Dogs can stay in selected rooms.
A family run seafront hotel opposite the pier on Llandudno's North Shore, with dogs welcome for food and drink in the bar, front lounge and terrace.
In 1861 the census found eight year old Alice Liddell, the girl who inspired Alice in Wonderland, staying with her family at this house on Llandudno's North Shore, then called Tudno Villa. Today The Wildings Hotel is a privately owned, family run hotel just opposite the pier, in the heart of the Victorian seaside town, with views across the bay. Everyone is welcome, families and four legged friends included, at this dog friendly hotel by the pier.
Some rooms take dogs, while others stay dog free for allergy sufferers, so mention yours when you book. All 30 rooms are individually decorated, many with sea views across Llandudno Bay; the Alice Suite, named after the book, is a sea facing suite with a large bay window. The Wildings doesn't say how many dogs can come per room, nor what it asks about leaving one alone, so cover both on the phone.
Dogs and their owners may eat and drink in the bar and the front lounge, though dogs can't go into Tudno's main restaurant. Out front, dogs are welcome on all areas of the outdoor terrace when you are eating or drinking there, with views across the bay. Tudno's, named after Llandudno's patron saint, serves a variety of food and drink, many of them sourced locally, with the bar stocking local beers, spirits and cocktails.
The hotel's Alice connection runs through town too, with wooden figures of the characters dotted around and the Alice Town Trails to follow. Llandudno North Shore, 0.1 miles off, is the beach Wildpack marks as dog friendly nearest the Wildings, so give its page a read for the dog rules, and Wildpack's Great Orme Marine Drive Circuit is close by.
