You arrive through a courtyard between the Coach House and the old stables, and French windows open into a large kitchen, diner and snug with its original stone flagged floor, a range oven at one end and an open fire in the snug at the other, where the dog can dry off after a walk. Past the central hall, with its polished timber floors and arched windows, three wide steps lead down to the lounge, where an ornate plaster ceiling looks down on a wood burner in a specially commissioned stone surround, a Steinway piano and an oak table for grand dining.
Two sets of French windows open from the lounge onto the veranda, with the lawn in front and an enclosed garden set with furniture. While the dog lies out on the lawn, you can watch the tide ebb and flow across the sands and the bay.
