Five dogs and sixteen people can share Copses At Narberth Bridge, a spacious detached dormer bungalow alongside the river with walks that begin at the doorstep. The house is dog friendly and has room for the whole party, with seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, and out in the grounds there is a purpose-built enclosed paddock for exercising the dogs.

The central hall leads through to a large open-plan kitchen and diner, well equipped for cooking for a crowd. Leading off the kitchen, the sun room is light and airy, a good spot for reading in peace in the afternoon. The large lounge looks out towards the river and has its own access outside, a route the dogs tend to master within a day, while its comfortable seating and electric fire, styled like a wood burner, take care of the evenings.

The ground floor holds four of the bedrooms: a twin and a double that both have en-suite shower rooms, a room for four with a double and a bunk bed sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom, and a further twin. Upstairs, the large master double has lovely views and an en-suite shower room, and the last two twins have en-suite shower rooms too. Outside are lawns, a patio with plenty of furniture, and the paddock, where five dogs can run off the journey while the kettle goes on.

Narberth is a market town of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, with a museum and a gallery, and Narberth Castle is at the top of the hill. From town the dogs can follow walks out to Canaston Woods, and Tenby and Saundersfoot are a short drive for the coast. Oakwood, Folly Farm and Heatherton are close for family days out.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Copses At Narberth Bridge dog friendly?

Copses At Narberth Bridge is about as dog friendly as a holiday property gets. The house welcomes up to five dogs and has a purpose-built enclosed paddock specifically for exercising or containing them, four ground floor bedrooms, hard level floors that handle wet dogs without complaint, and direct outdoor access from the lounge.

  • Are dogs allowed at Copses At Narberth Bridge year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and nothing about the property suggests there would be. The enclosed paddock, durable flooring, and river-end outdoor access are all features designed with year-round, all-weather dog ownership in mind.

  • What should I know before visiting Copses At Narberth Bridge with my dog?

The paddock makes arrivals straightforward — dogs can be turned out together while cars are unloaded, which is particularly useful if you're travelling with multiple families and dogs that haven't met before. For walks, Canaston Woods is 3.5 miles away with a circular route through oak and beech along the Eastern Cleddau that has no stiles, and the river runs along the edge of the grounds.
