This luxury lodge in the village of Hope, in the heart of the Shropshire Hills, sleeps six across three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Outside is an enclosed garden with its own patio, and this dog friendly retreat takes two dogs.
The garden has a private hot tub that seats six, with complimentary robes to get out to it in, and a summer house with seating in the same enclosed garden. The patio has outdoor furniture and a BBQ, and two dogs can potter round the garden while supper is cooked. Two of the three bedrooms have their own en suite shower rooms, there are Smart TVs in all the bedrooms, and a welcome pack greets you when you arrive.
Half past eight and everybody is outside in a robe or an oodie or both. The tub is going, the views from the tub are doing their work, and two dogs have taken the patio and shown no interest whatever in the water. Nobody will be suggesting an early start tomorrow.
Walkers, and their dogs, have access from the property onto the Stiperstones, a popular hill with trails and wonderful views across the countryside. Powis Castle, 13 miles away, has its history and beautiful gardens to explore, and Shrewsbury, 14 miles off, has its medieval architecture, riverside setting and castle. Church Stretton is a popular town for walkers, with the National Trust's Long Mynd a real highlight.
