The first floor balcony is where this one makes its case. It opens off the living space through full length bi-folding doors and looks straight out over Carlingwark Loch, and it is what separates Lodge 2 from the lodge it adjoins. Both are five star dog friendly lodges for four at Castle Douglas. One dog only comes on this booking, and it gets two pieces of enclosed ground: a small garden at the front, a patio behind.
The house runs in reverse. Two super king zip and link bedrooms and the bathrooms sit below, with the open plan living space above them where the view is worth having. One bedroom opens through French doors onto the enclosed rear patio, which holds a private hot tub. The front garden is small, enclosed and fitted out with a table, chairs and a bike store.
