Pear Tree Cottage Sheriffs Lench

Sheriffs Lench, Worcestershire

A spacious barn conversion for two at Sheriffs Lench with an enclosed lawned garden looking to the Malvern Hills, a log burner, a private field walk and one dog welcome.

Book now

From the enclosed front garden of Pear Tree Cottage the Malvern Hills are in view across the countryside. This thoughtfully renovated barn conversion stands on the owner's estate in the hamlet of Sheriffs Lench, spacious, stylish and romantic, and dog friendly for a couple with one dog.

The door opens straight into a large open plan space, where the lounge has comfortable sofas, a 60 inch Smart TV and a fantastic log burner, and the fully equipped kitchen comes with its own dining table for meals made from local produce. Arched windows and doors run across the rear wall, original features of the barn that keep the space light and airy, and the dog finds a warm spot by the log burner once the fire is going.

A hallway leads through to the double bedroom, tastefully decorated with lovely views across the countryside, with the bathroom next door. There are two outdoor spaces: to the front, an enclosed lawn and patio with seating that looks across to the Malvern Hills, and to the rear an open courtyard, shared with the cottage next door, with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The dog takes the lawn; the people take the patio and a drink.

The owner has created a 1km walk around a private field for guests to use, and a public footpath starts where the driveway ends, so the dog's first walk of the day is right there. Pershore, a Georgian market town, is 6 miles away, and Broadway, with its independent shops and Broadway Tower, makes a lovely day out in the Cotswolds, as do Alcester, Coughton Court and Ragley Hall.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Pear Tree Cottage Sheriffs Lench dog friendly?

Yes, Pear Tree Cottage welcomes one dog. It's a barn conversion for two people near Evesham, with an enclosed lawned garden at the front that the dog can access directly through the same door you come in by — no navigating round the back of the building.

  • Are dogs allowed at Pear Tree Cottage Sheriffs Lench year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth contacting the property directly to confirm availability for your dates. What we can say is that the setup — a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom, an enclosed front garden, and a log burner for colder months — suits a dog stay at any time of year.

  • What should I know before visiting Pear Tree Cottage Sheriffs Lench with my dog?

The cottage is listed for one dog, so if you're travelling with more than one it's worth checking with the owners first. The enclosed lawned garden at the front is great for easy outdoor access, and the surrounding area offers good walking — the Lenches hamlets are connected by quiet lanes, and Evesham, about 6 miles south, has riverside walks along the Avon in both directions from the bridge.
