Book now

Ty Hafan is a quaint town house in the historic maritime town of Milford Haven, and its garden is, in the owner's words, well kept, fully enclosed and dog friendly. Two dogs are welcome alongside four guests, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined just 0.2 miles away.

Shoes and coats stay in the cosy entrance hall, and the light, airy lounge to the right has a three seater and an armchair turned towards the wood burner, where the two dogs will be found curled up once the walking is done. To the rear are the dining room, with its table for four and a second television, and the kitchen, with a coffee machine for the mornings and a welcome pack waiting.

The contemporary family bathroom is on the half landing, and the king size zip and link beds can be made into twins on request. Outside, the fully enclosed garden is laid to gravel with a patio, an outdoor furniture set and a barbecue for eating out, and at the far end a summer house gives a shady place to relax while the dogs potter about.

From the coast path two dogs can head out towards Dale, 9 miles along, or the other way towards Pembroke. The town has a vibrant marina with bars, restaurants, cafés and independent boutiques, along with its own theatre and cinema, and the beaches at Broad Haven and Marloes Sands are a short drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Ty Hafan dog friendly?

Yes, Ty Hafan welcomes up to two dogs. The house has a fully enclosed gravel and patio garden at the back, a hallway kept clear for coats, boots and all the kit that comes with a day out with dogs, and the coast path is just 0.2 miles from the front door.

  • Are dogs allowed at Ty Hafan year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, and with a wood burner in the front lounge and an enclosed garden, the house is set up to work just as well in winter as in summer. If you want to confirm availability for specific dates, it's worth checking directly with the host.

  • What should I know before visiting Ty Hafan with my dog?

The house has a few steps between the dining room and kitchen, though the listing notes that a dog tends to get the measure of them quickly and treats the whole ground floor as one space. The garden is gravel rather than lawn, so it's practical and easy to keep clean after muddy walks. The coast path heading west from Gelliswick is off-road the whole way, which is good to know if your dogs are better off lead.
