Enniskillen Waterway Walk
County Fermanagh
The Enniskillen Waterway Walk is a flat urban circuit of the island town on the Erne, stringing together the Castle basin, the Broadmeadow riverside lawns, the Round O jetty and the Jubilee Bridge before returning through Queen Elizabeth Forest Walk. It is a classic dog friendly town walk, tarmac and gravel throughout, very gentle underfoot and perfect for older dogs or recovery days.
Dogs must stay on a lead for the whole route because of swans, ducks, cyclists on the shared path and livestock grazing on the Castle meadows at times. There are bins and water bowls at several cafes around the Diamond, and the Round O car park has free parking with toilets at the Castle and the Enniskillen bus station. Broadmeadow is a grassy green where leads can run long when the crowds thin.
