Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa

Inveraray, Argyll and Bute

Yes. Dogs can stay in all rooms.

A lochside hotel and spa in Inveraray where every bedroom takes dogs, welcome in the bar and lounges with dog beds and a place by the fire.

Inveraray is a village on the western shore of Loch Fyne, often called the Capital of Argyll, and Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa stands in the row of houses facing the water. This is a dog friendly hotel almost throughout: every guest bedroom takes dogs, and so do reception, the lounges and the grounds.

There are dog beds, and the prime position by one of the fires. Rooms run from classic doubles to the Junior Suite, called Glen Ord, the largest of them, with a roll top bath and views across Loch Fyne to the Cowall Hills; three Feature King rooms sit in the top of the original house, built in 1856. How many dogs a room will hold the hotel doesn't say, so check that as you book.

Cladach Mòr Bistro keeps a dining area aside for guests with dogs, so yours is under the table while you eat. The name comes from the Gaelic for great shore, and open fires, rich tones and stone walls set the scene from breakfast to dinner. Seafood, meat and produce are sourced locally where possible, from West Coast langoustines in the bar to a Josper-grilled steak, and there is afternoon tea as well.

Shore Spa sits on the banks of the loch, with warm steam, a barrel sauna and outdoor thermals. Lochside and woodland walks run on local trails, and dogs are allowed on a lead in the grounds of Inveraray Castle, where trails lead to the Dun na Cuaiche Watchtower and its views down Loch Fyne; the castle and its gardens are off limits. On our map, Inveraray Castle and Loch Fyne Shore Walk is 3.0 miles away, and Kilmory Sands, the closest dog friendly beach, 17.3 miles.
