Hare Cottage sits right in the centre of Grange over Sands, a short walk from the seafront and its wonderful views across the bay, with pretty walks from the front door. It sleeps four, two dogs come along, and this dog friendly cottage lets the car keys stay at home all week.
Through the porch, one spacious and sociable room holds lounge, kitchen and dining area, the contemporary kitchen at one side and the dining table ready for everyone to eat together. The lounge gathers comfy seats round its coal effect electric fire, with a Smart TV, and beyond it the light filled conservatory looks over the garden, where the dogs settle down to keep an eye on things. A WC on the ground floor is handy too.
On the first floor, both bedrooms enjoy views of the bay: one has a double bed, the other twin beds that join into a super king on request, and the stylish bathroom is on this floor too. Out in the enclosed garden, which is a joy to behold, seats are set out from the conservatory, with a lovely gravelled area and a charcoal BBQ, and as the evening draws on the conservatory doors stand open, both dogs stretched across the threshold while the BBQ gets going.
The seafront is only a few hundred yards off, with an abundant choice of restaurants, cafes and shops and the coast to explore with the dogs. Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve, 7 miles away, has fine walking, Windermere is the place for a lakeside day, and the World of Beatrix Potter is 15 miles off for Peter Rabbit fans.
