Fourteen people and two dogs, under one roof, in the Pembrokeshire countryside near Clynderwen. Llwyncelyn Farmhouse is a restored farmhouse with seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, a big, dog friendly house for families who holiday together, and the view from its garden runs north across the fields to the Preseli Hills.

The kitchen is where the party gathers, one long open room round a farmhouse table, with French doors onto a patio. The living room next door has patio doors of its own to the garden, enclosed at the back of the house and laid out with seating, a table and a barbecue. Two dogs can be let out from the living room while the kettle is on for fourteen, and there is a welcome box and doggy extras waiting on arrival.

A Finnish hot tub for seven stands in that garden, and it heats quickly, which matters when half the house wants it at once. The other half can be at the bookcase or the board games. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with adjustable beds and its own shower room, for whoever finds stairs hard work, and six more bedrooms upstairs spread everybody out, so a dog can settle on the ground floor without being stepped over.

Narberth is a few minutes' drive, a small town of independent shops and cafes, and the coast to the south is within easy reach, with the harbour at Saundersfoot and the walled town of Tenby. The Preseli Hills are half an hour north, open moorland topped with rocky outcrops, where a dog can walk the ridge for hours. Folly Farm and Heatherton will keep the younger members of the party busy for a day.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Llwyncelyn Farmhouse dog friendly?

Yes, Llwyncelyn Farmhouse welcomes up to two dogs. The back garden is enclosed, so your dogs can be let out safely, and there's a welcome box with doggy extras waiting for them on arrival.

  • Are dogs allowed at Llwyncelyn Farmhouse year round?

The listing doesn't specify seasonal restrictions on dogs, but we'd recommend confirming directly with the property when you book to make sure your dates work for everyone in the party — four-legged members included.

  • What should I know before visiting Llwyncelyn Farmhouse with my dog?

The property accepts a maximum of two dogs, and the enclosed back garden off the living room makes it easy to let them out without fuss. The ground floor twin bedroom has its own shower room and sits apart from the upstairs bedrooms, so a dog can settle down there without being in the middle of everything. If you're planning walks, the Preseli Hills are around half an hour north and offer hours of open moorland ridge walking — well worth the short drive.
