Linacre Reservoirs Loop

Linacre Reservoirs sit in a peaceful wooded valley just outside Chesterfield, where a chain of three reservoirs connected by streams creates a surprisingly tucked-away circuit through mature woodland. This 6.4 km loop follows well-maintained paths through the trees and around the water, with 119 metres of gentle elevation gain as the route rises and falls between the reservoirs. Despite the car park being popular, the woodland quickly absorbs walkers and the atmosphere feels calm and enclosed even on busier days.
