Morar Beach
Highlands
Morar Beach is a beautiful white sand beach at the village of Morar, where the shortest river in Britain, the River Morar, flows from Loch Morar to the sea. The beach is wide and sandy with the characteristic white shell sand of the west Highland coast. Loch Morar, the deepest freshwater loch in Britain, is just metres from the sea at this point, creating a remarkable landscape. The area is part of the Rough Bounds of Knoydart, one of the wildest landscapes in Scotland.
No dog restrictions apply at Morar Beach. Year-round dog access. The nearby Loch Morar adds wildlife interest.
