Saddell Bay
Argyll and Bute
Saddell Bay is a beautiful, sheltered sandy beach on the east coast of Kintyre, backing onto the historic ruins of Saddell Abbey, a 12th-century Cistercian monastery. The beach is part of the Landmark Trust Saddell estate. The combination of sandy beach, abbey ruins and castle makes this a historically rich location. Views are superb across Kilbrannan Sound to Arran.
No dog restrictions. Year-round dog access. Part of the Landmark Trust estate; some access considerations may apply near the castle and cottages.
